It is now officially autumn and I couldn’t be happier. It’s the best time of the year again. The time of cozying up on the sofa, burning candles, wearing oversized comfy jumpers and eating lots of comfort food. What I also really love about autumn is the nature, the leaves turning all sorts of golden and orangy colours. This Monday morning I went on a little walk, just because I felt like it, and then last minute also decided to bring my camera with me.
It was the best morning I have had in ages. In my September goals post I told you that I wanted to go on walks more. Well, this was the first proper one this month. But now that I have done it, I think I’m actually going to do it more. These pictures were taken in a park that is a 10/15 minutes walk away from home and it is absolutely stunning there. It is a super quiet and calm park with lots of beautiful trees and stuff you’d expect in a park. I went there ones last spring, but now it was even more beautiful there.
The nice breeze flowing through the trees, the chestnuts falling on the ground, the leaves everywhere, the calmness and not to forget the smell of autumn! I can’t really explain what that smells like, but I’m sure you all know what I mean.
I picked up some chestnuts and took them home. I couldn’t not do that, it just reminded me of being a little girl and going into the forest with my grandfather to collect them. Good memories! I think I’m going to visit this park more often. It just got me in such a good mood. Maybe next time I should even bring a book with me and read a bit. That would be amazing.
I’m so excited for it to be autumn again if you couldn’t already tell from this post… I’ve even decorated my room a bit with some autumn bits and pieces. It’s just the best season, for so many reasons. Don’t let yourself be fooled by the rain! Also, my birthday is in autumn, on the 15th of October… which is just 3 weeks away. Maybe that is also part of the reason I love this season so much.
