My 2017 highlights

I can’t believe we’re a the beginning of a New Year, or even that we’re over halfway through January already. I mean, time really flies! At the New Year, I really like to look back on the year I’ve just had and type up all the highlights. 2017 has had its downfalls, it’s negative sides, but all in all, it’s been quite a good year, with quite a few very nice highlights.

Exploring Tuscany & Umbria

The biggest highlight of the year was definitely my trip to Tuscany & Umbria – Italy. I saw some of the most beautiful places like Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and tiny little Italian villages. It was the perfect trip that I will never forget. I’m very very happy that I’m going to go back to Tuscany this Summer and explore some more because Italy is just magnificent! That is already something very exciting to look forward to in 2018. For now, I can just enjoy all the memories that I have from last year’s trip.

Amazing concerts

I also went to three amazing concerts. The first one being Ed Sheeran, and my oh my that was so cool. He really is a great artist, so I am very excited that in June I’m going to see him again. I also went to see John Mayer, which was an incredible concert as well. Quite different to Ed’s, but amazing in its own way. The last one was Bruno Mars, again very different, but again very good. His concert was one big party that I will never forget. In 2017 I discovered that I love to go to concerts and that I want to go to more. I now constantly have my eyes peeled to see if there are any artists that I like going on tour in The Netherlands. Which has resulted in me getting tickets to see Ed Sheeran, like I said, I can’t wait.

Starting Chapter 22, and switching to English on Oh My Book

Bloggingwise I quit Bella Mondo, started this blog and started blogging in English on Oh My Book. Two big decisions that I still don’t regret. I only wish that in 2018 I can create more content. I’m so bad at planning, which is not ideal when you’re a blogger. So one of my resolutions for the new year is to learn to be a little bit more of a planner.

The championship of Feyenoord

The last highlight that I want to mention is the championship of Feyenoord. For the non-Dutchies, I am a football fan and Feyenoord is a Dutch football team – from Rotterdam – who won the National Championship for the first time in 18 years. It was magnificent, wonderful and amazing. I was about three years old the last time they won, so to me, it felt like the very first time.

Those were my highlights of 2017. I hope that this year I’m going to have another year filled with highlights. Well, I can already tell you that the trip to Tuscany and the Ed Sheeran concert will end up in my 2018 highlights. But, let’s see what else the year is going to bring.

What were your highlights of 2017?
