My Birthday Wishlist

It’s that time of the year again – no, not Christmas… I wish. It’s my birthday soon, on the 15th of October to be exact. A couple of people have already asked me what I want. Obviously, my answer was I have no bloody idea. So I thought, you know what, let’s make a Birthday wishlist. I like making wishlist anyways. It’s more like an overall wishlist than a Birthday wishlist. Some of the things on here are way too expensive to ask for my Birthday, but you know it is Christmas soon as well and I can save up myself for some of the things. So here it goes…

I’m a sucker for nice jewellery, but I kind of keep wearing the same pieces over and over again. So I would like to switch things up a bit and there are a couple of pieces that I’d really like. For starters the big round hoops, I like minimalistic jewellery but lately, I’ve also been getting into the more statement side of things and I feel like these hoops are perfect. The same goes to the heart hoops. These are on the top of my list, I’ve seen these on Instagram a couple of times and I just fell in love. They do them in large and small. I like the large ones the most, but I also saw a picture where someone was wearing them together and it looked really nice.

Next up are necklaces. For the past year, I’ve been wearing my gold Anna Saccone zodiac sign necklace. I got it as a Birthday gift for myself last year and I’ve just been wearing that, and only that, ever since. I don’t want to stop wearing it because I bloody love that necklace, but I would love to pair it up with some other ones. My eyes fell on this moon necklace, it’s a bit longer so easy to layer. The other one that I really like is this sort of choker coin necklace (the top necklace on the picture). Again, great to layer, and it’s just a gorgeous necklace.

A wishlist from me wouldn’t be complete without a couple of books. What can I say, I just love books. The first one is The Problem With Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout in the hardcover version. I’ve wanted this book for a while now and I’m actually meeting her next month, so now I feel like I really should get it. Also by Jennifer L. Armentrout, I’d like If There’s No Tomorrow, also in the hardcover version. This is her latest books and it sounds really good. Then we’ve got Little Monsters by Kara Thomas in the paperback version. I’ve heard so many good things about this book and it’s supposed to be in the style of Pretty Little Liars, and that got me intrigued because I’ve watched all of PLL and loved it. The last book on this list is Eliza and her Monsters by Francesca Zappia in the hardcover version. Again, I’ve heard great things and it sounds interesting.

I love candles, especially in autumn. I’m writing this post while burning a scented candle. It just makes life better! My favourite candle is Ebony & Oak by Yankee Candle, but I’m almost run out, hence why it’s on my wishlist. This scent is the best forest like, autumnal, wooden scent – that’s the best I can do as it comes to describing a scent…

The other candles that I’d like are by a brand called WoodWick. I’ve recently discovered them and I’d love to try these out. They are quite special because the wick is wood, as the name suggests. And because it’s wood the candle crackles like it would in a fireplace. Doesn’t that sound amazing?! The scents that I’d like to try are Fireside, Wood Smoke and Frasier Fir.

One of my best purchases ever was my record player. I just love playing vinyl. It’s just something special you know. It really makes you enjoy and appreciate the music more. Since I’m not a long time vinyl collector yet, there are still so many albums on my wishlist that I’d love to have on vinyl.

On my wishlist is Evolve by Imagine Dragons. This has been one of my favourite albums from the past couple of months, ever since it came out really. And I’m going to their concert next year, so I guess this one needs to be in my collection.

A couple of months back I went to see John Mayer live, which was absolutely amazing. He did a couple of my favourite songs and those happen to be on the Born and Raised album. One that I don’t own yet. Since it is my favourite of his, I’d really like to have it on vinyl.

Last week the new album by The Killers, Wonderful Wonderful, was released. I’ve been loving it and putting it on repeat, it’s just so good. So that one is definitely high up on my list. I’m a bit sad though since there is actually a limited edition soft pink vinyl edition, but it’s UK only. Which means I can’t get it. I’m a sucker for coloured vinyl ánd you know how much I love soft pink – I mean look at this website… Too bad, but I guess the regular vinyl will sound just as wonderful – See what I did there!

The album of Summer 2017 was definitely Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 by Calvin Harris for me. Every song on this album is just amazing. I really would like to add this to my collection. Not just because it is great music, also because it reminds me of the past summer and more importantly my holiday in Tuscany.

Bits & Pieces

A couple more things on the list. I think this scarf from H&M is so cute. I love the pink and red combined. Who doesn’t love a nice warm, chunky scarf around this time of year?! Then we’ve got some nail polishes. Essie is by far my favourite nail polish brand. Their polish just works the best on my nails. And they have now released there limited edition fall collection. There are two shades in that collection that I think would look really nice and those are Girly Grunge and Dress to the Nineties.

The last items are all concert DVD’s. Coldplay Live 2012 is such a great show. My brother had this DVD and I used to watch it quite frequently, but now that he has moved out I can’t do that anymore. So I’d really like my own copy. The same goes to the DVD of Ghost Stories, again, such an amazing show! The last one is by John Mayer from a show called Where the light is. I haven’t actually seen this one yet, but I heard this particular show of his was awesome.

There you have it. Now that I look back on it, there are quite a few things on this list. Well, I guess I’ve already got a start on my Christmas list right?!

What is on your wishlist?

Wat super veel leuke items! Ik ben binnenkort ook jarig, maar altijd nogal inspiratieloos haha. Ik vind het rechtse kettinkje vooral heel leuk!

Vinyl Records are the way to go! Nothing beats a great authentic record player. Those are some pretty solid albums you’ve mentioned, especially a fan of imagine dragons.
