My reading wishlist

Even though I probably have a million unread books on my shelves – maybe a little over exaggerated, but you get what I mean right?! – I’m always on the hunt for new ones. And recently I’ve been eying up so many books. But you know, something with not having a money tree in the backyard and all…

Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu

This book is one of the Zoella Book Club picks right now and it sounds thrilling! It is about a girl named Vivian that unlocks a girl revolution without even planning for it. She starts a feminist zine, Moxie, and hands it out anonymously to her classmates. But then it turns into something much bigger. Doesn’t that sound good? I’m very excited to read this book. It is already out in the UK as a part of the Zoella Book Club, but the rest of the world has to wait until September 21st.

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

Ok, so this is a book that I’m not a hundred percent sure about. I don’t read poetry and this is a poetry book. It just doesn’t really seem like my kind of thing. But, recently I have been seeing this book everywhere. And lots of people are saying that even if you don’t like poetry, you will like this book. So I actually would like to put that to the test. Gotta try new things sometimes right? Milk and Honey is about violence, loss, abuse, love, and femininity. Apparently, this book is supposed to leave you feeling like you can handle the world. So yeah, definitely want to give it a try!

The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I have read multiple books by this author, Jennifer L. Armentrout. But this one is a bit different, it is a young-adult novel and the books that I have read are all new-adult novels. So I’m very excited to see how this author is outside of the new-adult genre. The book is about Mallory who has been in multiple different foster homes when she was a little girl. All that seems behind her when she is adopted by a lovely family. But then she goes to a new school and encounters someone she knows from the foster system and all memories come flooding back.

All we shall know by Donal Ryan

One of my favourite bloggers, Estee LaLonde talked about this book in a video and it intrigued me. It is about a woman, Melody, who gets pregnant from a much younger student. I don’t know much more than that, but I’m very interested in reading this book.

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

And then to finish it off, a non-fiction book. I have to say I don’t read non-fiction books that often. But lately I’ve been really getting into them and this is one of those books I hear everyone talking about. It is about creative living and what how to overcome the struggles that that brings along. It’s supposed to be really inspiring so I’d love to find out if it inspires me as well.

So there you have it, these are all the books on my reading wishlist right now. Although I do suspect it to be growing again soon. So many great books get published each month and then there are also the books that have been out for ages, but that I haven’t found out about yet. Basically, there are just too many books. But I guess that is not such a bad thing at all…

Leuke wishlist! Milk and Honey vind ik zo’n prachtige cover hebben maar ik twijfel inderdaad ook een beetje of het boek zelf me wel zal liggen.. Misschien toch maar eens proberen 🙂
