September goals

I can’t contain my excitement any longer. The r is back in the month and that means autumn is coming. My favourite season and I just can’t wait. I’d like those cold, chilly days sooner rather than later. Putting on comfy warm jumpers, burning candles, drinking even more tea than normal. And not to forget seeing the leaves turn all sorts of golden and orange colours. As you can tell, I am bloody excited and ready.

Since it now is September, it kind of feels like a fresh start. Especially now that my new blog is live. I kind of have that back to school feeling, even though I don’t go to school anymore. In that spirit, I’ve come up with a couple of goals for this month.

1 // Use my stationery

The first one might be a bit silly. I’m a stationery lover, but the thing is that I never really use my notebooks and stuff. It’s so stupid, but I always think that I’m going to ruin my beautiful stuff with my handwriting. And then I just end up not using it. So my goal for this month is to actually get that out of my head and just use it already. I’ve also bought some new bits and pieces so I really should. It’s such a waste otherwise.

2 // Get up earlier

Currently, I’m at home because I’m looking for a job and doing some freelance work. Being at home does have some risks. Like staying in bed all bloody day. Obviously, that is not really good for you. So I usually set an alarm on weekdays to get myself out of bed. But I’d like to try and get up earlier. I set my alarm now around 8.30 but it does take a little while until I’m really up and ready. Sometimes I wish I would be a morning person, that I would have the strength to get up really early and be productive in the morning. But to be quite honest I am just not a morning person. So if anyone has any tips on how to become one. That would be very welcome…

3 // Going for walks regularly

Another problem of being at home is not really getting out of the house. Somedays I don’t get outside at all, and I feel like that is just not good. I would like to get it into my system to go for a walk at least once a day. Just wander around, get some fresh air, get some movement in that body of mine. I wish I had a dog, that would make things so much easier! But I’m going to try.

4 // Be more productive

I get distracted super easily and I’m just not the most productive person. I really want to change that. Especially for this blog’s sake. I’ve actually made a blog schedule for the whole month of September and even though I don’t want to be too strict with it, I do want to make sure that I pre-write more so that I don’t have to write posts at the last minute. Using the stationary might come in handy with this goal as well.

    I hope you’re able to achieve your goals this month and also good luck with your job hunt! If you’re trying to be more of a morning person, perhaps you should try going to bed early if you usually sleep late. That way, when your alarm goes off in the morning you feel like you’ve gotten enough sleep so it’s easier to get up. xx

    Klinkt goed! Gefeliciteerd met je nieuwe blog trouwens, ziet er echt leuk uit πŸ™‚ ik stel mezelf al een tijdje geen maandelijkse doelen meer, vind het wel fijn om te doen maar nog fijner om gewoon een beetje met de flow mee te gaan en te zien hoe het loopt haha. Deze maand wil ik er vooral voor zorgen dat mijn studieritme goed op gang komt zonder te veel stress of vermoeidheid.

    You’ve set great and achievable goals for this month. I have the same thing with using stationairy. I always buy a lot of washi-tape and notebooks, but I don’t actually use it all. I am a morning person and it’s sometimes really annoying, since I am wide-awake at around 5:30 AM, butI don’t have any tips or whatsoever.. :$ In September I want to be less stressed, and enjoy ‘life’ more.
